I once rented our apartment to Ms. Franca when she spent a summer in Kingston where her husband, a member of the National Arts Centre, was teaching at Queen’s University. She was a delightful lady with a wonderful sense of humor and although I did not have the time to get to know her I have a fun letter from her in which she expressed her thoughts about our home and stating that if she were to get back she would only stay in our apartment. I treasure that letter and I was honoured that she was living in our home.

Thank you for sharing that wonderful memory. What a treasure that letter is.
Wish I had become friends with Celia – I would have much enjoyed her sense of humor.
